I watched that interview with Lesley Headland, and the issue I had with her take on Ki Adi Mundi was she didn’t know at all about his birth year.. Mary played it off like fans were outraged at his birthday like the DAY or MONTH was wrong. Lesley did not know the YEAR was off. The Ki Adi Mundi RetCon did not bother me, but to openly admit she didn’t know it was off by so much, shows a bit of incompetence.

Mae's haircut felt more like Kanan's/Sabine's return-to-true-self haircut. My assumption about Sol next episode is that he's going to talk to Mae about, "her sister," and it's going to give us a partial reveal about the duality between the twins (Mae as lighter half). The confusion about which one Sol's talking about is how that confusion seems like it will be resolved. I could see Sol as the secret Master but I really feel like Osha's going to kill him without a weapon in episode 8. I've seen enough sci-fi to recognize altered memories (Mae suddenly being violent, large holes) from episode 3 and a more clear narrative will be episode 7's reveal. Osha's going to show us w/e a sith force cave trip looks like while Sol and Mae are doing their thing.

Whatever happens on episode 6, it's good to remember it's gonna be the act I of the finale, so definitely something of significance is coming

I think, at this point, if you’re correct (and I don’t think you are) it would be just more terrible writing. Sol has not been displayed as having any nefarious tendencies by the show. Sure, ep. 5 did suggest that there is more to Sol than we’ve seen, but I’d guess that has more to do with the events back at the witches coven. Qimir’s statements seem to suggest that he knows something about Sol, and Sol did react to Qimir’s statements rather negatively. It’s obvious there is more to the events with the witch coven than we’ve been shown. Seems more like Sol has a guilty conscience. Who knows, though? Mae sure has changed her motivation out of nowhere several times now. When last we saw her she knocked her sister out, impersonating her and leaving her stranded with a Sith running amuck. Previously, she was going to turn herself into the Jedi and betray her master all because OSHA is alive and THAT’S what she cared about (until she doesn’t). Mae is not even a character. It’s just terrible writing. Who knows? Maybe Sol, Venestra and Ki-Adi-Mundi are all part of a secret Sith ring operating within the Jedi Order. When things can just happen for no actual reason it’s just bad writing. The very fact that the idea of Sol being a Sith or something like that is is even possible at this point shows that the writing is terrible and inconsistent. And if anything like that proves true we can all question why Sol didn’t kill Qimir when he absolutely could have. Honestly, I think this is grasping at straws with the hope that the story is better than it actually is.

Nobody with any Star Wars knowledge cares about her cutting her hair with a saber. It's the stupidity that she has a magic tattoo on her face that for some reason she thinks Sol won't see it. Fact of the matter is they probably forgot about it and/or removed it. It's just as stupid as Osha impersonating Mae earlier in the series. Lucasfilm just forgot about the mark/tattoo.

I guess at that galaxy a young teenager is ready to follow a master into a dangerous situation, we shouldn't use our values that you are a kid until your 18. I also don't agree that jedi training is brain watching. It was obvious that Sol saw it was was Mae, but I see it as he had her under control if he brought her back. Still though he should looked for Osha. I still think Venestra is the sith master, the most boring character will suprice us in the end

"What's the sudden drop?" I stopped watching after ep3, it gave off too much of a "Leia out running a bunch of grown up" vibes for me. I didnt have a lot of hope of this one, but I always give Star Wars stuff a chance no matter what. This got billed as a "crime mystery" aka some Star Wars content for adults. And it was the complete opposite, you already know the whole story by the end of ep3, so why continue to watch a poorly written kids show? Smilo Ren character looks like the freak show from Pulp Fiction, so corny. Most the characters look silly actually.Where did that budget get spent on? Pass.

Darth plagues is going to turn up…

The show is far from great but it isn't bad either. The reason why it's mostly diehard starwars fans (not all of them) who hate this show and have such a bias view about it is because the show is completely contradicting the information in legends especially the information in the darth plaguise novel. The darth plaguise novel by the way is one of the best novels i have read however its not cannon and unfortunately this is something that people cannot come to grips with.

Darth tenebrous had multiple acolytes. That’s the main reason plagueis kills him…he also explains to sidious that they have to take out any “pretenders” of the dark side. Rule of 2 only means 2 sith following the bane lineage. If a being has the force and doesn’t do good things with it they can still be a dark side user. Darth is only a title passed from the bane lineage.

I think Sol is going to be the big baddy. Much in the way Palpatine pretended to be a good guy when in fact he was Sidious all along!

I think what is also going to be a big deal is Osha felt it and stopped when Jekky was killed. She’s very powerful and I think whoever the big bad is knows this. They just used Mae to flush Osha out.

How could Sol NOT know that’s Mae? It’s on her forehead. It’s Mae looking like a moron again. Sol’s secret past I guess is the big mystery.

Honestly, I try to like every Star Wars show that comes out but there's just something about this one, it feels like the people in charge either don't know Star Wars or don't like it, and they're using it for something else.

2:40 - Maybe it's just me.... but I rather saw that the entire time. Did that REALLY need explaining? If so, Americans are dumber than I thought. Qimir's little speech with Sol literally laid it all bare. Plus, it ties back to the conversation between Palpatine and Anakin. Both the Jedi and the Sith seek more power, but as Qimir said, "It's the Jedi who make the rules." They are the ones who decide who can and who cannot "legally" use The Force, and they will use violence to enforce their decision. THAT is what I believe happened the night of the fire. For the most part, the Witches simply wanted to be left alone, and in fact, Qimir said about the same, which leads me to think he's not an actual Sith.... or that maybe we've misunderstood the Sith as a whole all this time. Technically, all we really know about the Sith comes from the Jedi's point of view. I can even tie all of that to our own species' religions. All of them believe theirs is the only TRUE righteous way, and that many others are evil. More atrocities have been committed in the name of "a God" (pick one) than any other reason throughout human history. Maybe that's what a lot of people don't like about the series.... it's hitting "too close to home" for them.

I felt that whatever Sol did was the mystery early on. It comes up often. The thing is it might not even be as crazy as we think and could be perceived as worse from another’s point of view. I think he slaughtered the witches or had something to do with it, but I would think the Jedi would perceive them as dark side users and justify his actions. From the twins pov that would definitely be evil and I don’t think Qimir really cares, but uses it as a way to manipulate both twins. I could also see that decision causing problems between the Jedi there and bring deep regrets. Remember this show is supposed to be from the Sith/dark side pov so something that we’d expect from Jedi they would definitely see differently. It is probably something more, but I was just thinking this during Episode 3.

I feel holes are in these plot lines. Is this done on purpose or lazy writing?

Hi Meg, awesome news update, I will wait and see what Sol Knows, we need to know how the witches died, and i guess Sol will know that, and he will also know why the other Jedi had to die aswell, I would like to know more about the Sith within this series, thank you SWM

So Meg, you dont know whats coming next, but you are certain the things that have happened pave the way for whats coming next? Time and time again in this show, they have had characters and the story itself simply jump to the next thing, almost as if the characters only motivation for doing anything is the fact the script demands that they do so I dont see why you are suddenly so convinced the next twists and turns wont simply be for their own reasons, not because it makes most sense to the characters or story The Sol thing, is literally the only reason i have stuck with it so far, it was evident from the start he is hiding something, my only hope is that it does not turn out to be a small inconsequential thing, and was actually worth the wait I also would like to knwo more about the Jedi multifactional things that has been hinted at "our enemies within the Council must not learn of this" or whatever the line was

Venestra IRL being Hedland's partner makes me wonder if there's a bigger part to play for her, or it's just nepotism for a bit-part that other actresses are just as capable of.

If Sol turns out to be villainous, then there is truly no one to root for or admire really in this show. Which means that's probably what they will do.

I am afraid I don't care at all anymore. This series has ruined Star Wars for me. I wish those that like this show all the best but this, like the other DSW series, is just awful and isn't for me or fans of Star Wars pre disney.

Honestly, the banter about this show is much more entertaining. The "Big reveal" of who's the Stranger wasn't much of a mystery. I'm re-watching The Bad Batch instead.

Mundi's statement in episode one never really made much sense. Whether it's the legends discovery of the rule of two through Kibh Jeen 200 years before episode one or the canon depiction with Elzar Mann, they knew the sith had survived and were out there.

I'm a Star Wars fan and I have never subscribed to disney plus. I am very interested in probably watching Andor someday when the last season is done. I was hopeful for The Acolyte show. I did watch the sequel movies and they were horrible IMO. I don't have any interest in watching disney shows or movies that occur after Return of the Jedi in the timeline. I am interested in watching a Dawn of the Jedi movie if the reviews are good.

It's a real shame that this show got review bombed the way it did. The story is intriguing, but only 8 episodes and short run times are weakening the storytelling aspect of it. Episodes 4 & 5 could've been one 45-50 minute episode, and the whole story would've been better for it. The Ki Adi Mundi haters are basically just people that had already made up their minds to dislike the show, BEFORE it even aired. The only thing I haven't liked in this show is the Witches chanting. I don't know if it's because it sounds juvenile or because it's so off key, lol. After episode 5, I have it at an 8/10.
